Seasons

Island Ice Hockey offers four choices of leagues that run all year. Each one offering varied levels of play over four seasons: fall, winter, spring and summer.

• The ALL ISLAND league is divided into Nassau and Suffolk based* divisions


• NEW: Spring/Summer 'Back fron College League' Late May to early Augst. Elite and B/C divisions
• Skill levels are: A/B, C, D & E.
• 10 game fall season starts in late September.
• 10 game winter season starts in early January.
• 10 game spring season starts in early April.
• 8 game summer season starts in late June.
• *teams occasionally have crossovers in either county.


• The Iceland league is based primarily in Iceland, New Hyde Park.


• The league is split into three divisions: over 30 C, over 25 C and open-age B
• 14 game fall season starts in early September.
• 14 game winter/spring season starts in early February.
• 12 game spring/summer season starts in mid May.


• The Mid-week prime league is Nassau and Suffolk based with most of the games in Nassau rinks.


• Skill levels are: C/D & D/E.
• 12 game fall season starts in mid September.
• 12 game winter season starts in mid January.
• 10 game spring season starts in late April.
• 8 game summer season starts in early July.


• The FD/PD Day league is based in Iceland, New Hyde Park*. Games are scheduled for 10:20am, noon and 11:20 starts. While the league is predominantly firefighters and law enforcement it is open to all.


• Skill levels are: C/D & E.
• 11 game fall season starts in late September.
• 11 game winter/spring season starts in mid January.
• *Occasional games in the Freeport Rec Center.
