SEASONS / DIVISIONS
Island Ice Hockey offers three choices of leagues that run all year. Each one offering varied levels of play over three seasons: fall, winter, and summer.
The OVER-40 league is Nassau and Suffolk based with most of the games in Nassau Rinks
• Skill levels are: C, D and E
• 12 game fall season starts in mid September
• Beginner/returning player: 4 practices/10 game fall season starts in late September
• 16 game winter season starts in mid January (Double elimination playoffs)
• 10 game summer season starts in early June
The Mid-week prime league is Nassau and Suffolk based with most of the games in Nassau rinks
• Skill levels are: C/D & D/E
• 12 game fall season starts in mid September
• 16 game winter season starts in mid January
• 10 game summer season starts in early June
The ALL ISLAND WEEKEND/WEEKNIGHT leagues has games and divisions in Nassau and Suffolk
• 12 game fall season starts in early late September
• 16 game winter season starts in mid January
• 10 game fall season starts in June
(Teams occasionally have crossovers in either county.)
